Privacy Policy

dletc ("the site") provides online video parsing and downloading, plus a few audio and video utilities. We collect as little information as we can and keep data on your own device wherever possible. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and how you can manage it.

By using the site you confirm that you have read and agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.

Information you give us:

• Signing up and signing in: your email address and password (we store only an encrypted hash — never the password itself).
• When you use Sign in with Google: the email address, display name and avatar URL that Google passes back to us.
• When you contact us: your email address and the content of your message.

Information produced while you use the site:

• Parse records: the link you submitted, the platform we detected, the format and quality you chose, the task status and creation time, and the size of the generated file.
• Download counts: how many downloads you have made today and the state of your quota.

Technical information collected automatically:

• The IP address a request comes from: used to tally the daily quota and to detect abusive traffic.
• An anonymous browser identifier and a browser fingerprint: see "Data stored on your device" below.

We do not collect your contacts, messages, photo library or precise location, and we do not read other files on your device. None of that has anything to do with downloading a video.

• To provide the core function: turning a link into a list of available qualities and generating a downloadable file.
• To attribute your parse history: by account when you are signed in, by anonymous browser identifier when you are not.
• To count the daily download quota and show how many downloads you have left today.
• For account and security: authentication, session recovery, and identifying or blocking abusive requests.
• To improve the service: usage and error rates counted in aggregate, with identifiers removed.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

To remember your session and attribute your history, the site keeps a small amount of data in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your browser, and "Clear browsing data" removes all of it at any time:

• Session token (dlect.token): issued by the server after a successful sign-in, used to recognise that you are logged in.
• Anonymous browser identifier (dlect.client_id): a random string generated on your first visit. It contains no personal information and is used only to tie parse history to the same browser while you are signed out.
• Browser fingerprint (dlect.fp.v1): a 32-character string computed locally from canvas rendering differences, WebGL information, screen size, time zone and language, and hardware parameters, then hashed with SHA-256. It is used only to tally the daily download quota. The underlying values are never uploaded, and we load no third-party scripts.
• Interface preferences: display settings such as the colour theme.

The fingerprint is computed locally and submitted only as a hash — raw device attributes are never reported. While you are signed out, parse history is stored against the anonymous browser identifier alone.

The site uses no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Online tools (such as the audio and video merger): these need you to upload your original files so the server can process them. Merging is done by FFmpeg on our servers, and your uploads are deleted as soon as a merge succeeds. An upload that is never processed is cleaned up when its staging period expires. Result files are held temporarily by the server and cleared automatically by retention tier (see below).

Video downloads: our server requests the media data from the source platform (Bilibili, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Vimeo, TikTok, Douyin) and stores the generated file temporarily. Temporary files are cleared automatically by tier:

• Signed out: 30 minutes
• Signed in: 24 hours

Where a source platform exposes a directly playable address, your browser fetches the data from that platform without routing through us. We do not build a long-term library of video content, and downloaded files are never used for anything else.

The following parts are handled by third parties, each with its own privacy policy:

• Google sign-in: identity is verified through Google Identity Services. We receive only the verified email address, display name and avatar URL.
• Source platforms: when a link is parsed or downloaded, the request reaches that platform's servers (Bilibili, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Vimeo, TikTok, Douyin).
• Object storage and CDN: where object storage is enabled, temporary files may sit on a third-party storage service until they expire and are deleted automatically.

• Account information: kept for as long as the account exists, then deleted or anonymised once the account is closed.
• Parse records: kept by tier — 30 minutes when signed out, 24 hours when signed in — and cleared automatically on expiry.
• Temporary media files: the same retention policy as parse records, deleted automatically on expiry.
• Server access logs: kept for security auditing and troubleshooting, generally for no longer than 30 days.

• View and correct your account information: once signed in, the account menu shows the current account and its retention tier.
• Delete local data: clearing your browser data removes the session token, the anonymous identifier, the fingerprint and your interface preferences.
• Sign out: available directly from the account menu, which also deletes the token from your browser.
• Close your account, or export or delete your personal information: send a request from your registered email address to privacy@dletc.com. We will handle it once your identity is verified, usually within 15 working days.

Data travels over HTTPS, passwords are stored only as hashes, API access is token-authenticated, and we keep as little on the server as we can. That said, no internet service can guarantee absolute security — please never include source-site passwords or other secrets when reporting a problem.

The site is not directed at children under 14. If you are a minor, use it only with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian, and download only content you are authorised to download.

When a change to the service changes how information is handled, we will update this policy and the revision date at the top of the page. If a change affects your rights in a material way, we will also call it out prominently on the site.
